The Silicon Valley Football Bowl
Since its origin in 2000, Silicon Valley Classic bowl has hosted four bowl games. The very first game was played between the US Air Force and Fresno State with the Air Force winning by a score of 37-34. After this matchup, the next 3 years has not seen the US Air Force return to the bowl. Fresno, however has returned to play games time after time. In 2001, Michigan State faced Fresno State and the outcome of this game for Fresno State was similar to the previous year's. Fresno State was defetead for a second year; this time by Michigan State. Fresno State returned the following year to face Gerogia Tech in the Classic Bowl. This time around, however, learning from the previous defeats, Fresno State emerged victorious over Gerogia Tech with a score of 30-21. In 2003, Fresno State faced UCLA, and emerged victorious with a 17-9 win over UCLA.
